Bathroom remodels in Somers Point.
Somers Point bathroom rebuilds are mostly inland ranch and split-level work — the original 1960s and 1970s bathrooms with the cast-iron tub, the pink or avocado tile, and the cramped layout that gets fully rebuilt. Plumbing in this era of homes is usually copper, which is good news (we don't need to replumb walls), but the venting often isn't sized properly for modern fixtures and the shower-pan tile is almost always failing. Two to three weeks per bathroom. Bayfront homes occasionally need salt-air hardware and additional ventilation — we spec accordingly.
Somers Point is about 18 minutes from our Mays Landing shop. Mainland bayfront town: 1950s–1970s ranches and split-levels, older bayfront homes near Bay Avenue, newer townhouse complexes on the inland side. Township ZIP: 08244. Free walkthroughs same-week, written estimates the next business day.
What we do in a bathroom
Bathrooms are small rooms with a lot going on — plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, ventilation. We build them so they last.
- 01
Showers & tubs
Tile-ready bases, custom curbs, frameless glass, soaking tubs. Niche shelves, benches, linear drains.
- 02
Tile
Floor, walls, accent. Heated floors when you want them. We waterproof properly — Schluter, RedGard, or hot-mopped pan.
- 03
Vanities & counters
Stock, semi-custom, fully custom. Quartz or natural stone tops; undermount sinks the standard.
- 04
Plumbing
Rough-in, finish, repipe a wall when the old galvanized has to go. Pressure-balanced valves on every shower.
- 05
Electrical
GFCI everywhere required, dedicated lines for fans and heated floors, dimmer-friendly LED.
- 06
Ventilation
Shore humidity is real. We size fans correctly and vent them to outside, never the attic.

Every project goes through these four phases. We don't skip steps.

In Somers Point, the practical details look like this.
Bathroom remodels in Somers Point — questions we hear.
-
Somers Point has both bayfront and inland sections — does that change how you scope a project?
Yes, in two ways. Bayfront homes are subject to coastal flood-zone rules on substantial improvements and structural work, which adds review time and design constraints (elevation, foundation type). Inland sections are conventional mainland scope — no flood considerations beyond ordinary stormwater. We confirm the property's flood-zone status at the walkthrough so it's not a surprise mid-design.
-
Can we still use our other bathroom while you work on the primary?
Yes — we keep the rest of the house functional. Water shut-offs are localized when possible.
-
Do I need to relocate during the project?
No. We work clean, contain dust, and finish each day with the room locked off.
-
How do you handle waterproofing?
We don't cut corners on this. Schluter Kerdi or hot-mop on shower pans, Schluter membrane or comparable on shower walls. Done right, this is what makes a bathroom last 20 years instead of 5.
-
Can you work with my existing plumbing or do I need to replumb?
Depends on what's there. Copper or PEX in good shape — keep it. Old galvanized — out, every time.
